There is no gold standard for evaluating the validity of the quality of medical information. For validity, the subjective assessment of the quality of medical information by physicians with expertise in breast cancer was considered an appropriate assessment, and this was used as the standard for validity. Validity was assessed by examining the agreement between the PRHISM overall quality and the experts’ subjective assessments. The validity of DISCERN was also examined in the same way.

However, these approaches addressed only the content and face validity of the CLIQ framework and not its applicability, reliability, and construct validity. Therefore, the aim of this study is to assess the applicability, internal consistency, and construct validity of the CLIQ framework.

Although Tongue Fit can also be used as an exercise tool to improve tongue strength and endurance, the focus of this study was solely on assessing the validity of Tongue Fit as a measurement tool. By focusing solely on the validity of Tongue Fit’s measurement capabilities, we seek to provide empirical evidence to support its efficacy as a tool for assessing tongue strength and endurance. This study aimed to determine the accuracy of Tongue Fit in quantifying tongue muscle performance in k Pa.

The questionnaire had satisfactory reliability and validity, with the scale-content validity index (S-CVI), Cronbach α coefficient, and split-half reliability of 0.97, 0.96, and 0.99, respectively [25]. Given its focus on users of medical apps, the questionnaire was only administered to older people.

The results in Figure 3 show high external validity of the model due to its ability to perform well with training on one hospital dataset and subsequent testing on the other hospital dataset.

Future studies should be aware of this limitation and carefully review the reference data as well, as errors or artifacts in the reference measurements could lead to misleading comparisons and affect the validity of the findings. Fourth, while the wearing position and fitting of the devices were standardized to ensure consistency, it might not reflect real-world usage where users may wear devices loosely or incorrectly.

The I-CVI and the Scale CVI/Average (S-CVI/Ave) were used to evaluate content validity of the instrument. I-CVI≥0.78 and S-CVI/Ave≥0.90 indicate satisfactory content validity [24].

As such, in this study, we aimed to: (1) test the hypothesis that distinct CCP subgroups exhibit differential risks of cervical precancer or cancer based on their complex phenotypic profiles (development); (2) demonstrate internal validity (within a dataset and across methods), as well as external and diagnostic validity (across datasets; validation); and (3) propose a computational phenomapping strategy with clinical relevance and pathways to improve global access to CCP (impact).

The validity and reliability of 38-item STAM have been established on a satisfactory scale in 1012 older adults aged 55 years and older in Hong Kong [24]. The construct validity of the STAM was also evaluated with the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and revealed a satisfactory model fit with the proposed structure (comparative fit index [CFI]=0.938, root mean square error of approximation [RMSEA]=0.054, and standardized root mean square residual [SRMR]=0.075).

The hypothesis was that the software would demonstrate comparable accuracy and validity in heart rate measurement during a 6-minute walking test (6 MWT) and a 47-minute interval training session, matching the performance of a certified ECG, which is considered the gold standard.
The prospective interventional PROTEGO MAXIMA trial was designed to evaluate the validity, accuracy, and safety of a prehabilitation app.
